Golf Fore Africa

Austad's Golf is proud to partner with LPGA Pro and North Dakota native, Amy Olson, to help build a well in Africa!  Amy is working with the Golf Fore Africa organization, which has been working in Zambia to bring CLEAN WATER to rural villages for several years.  There are 633 million people in the world that lack access to clean water. That's nearly 1 in 10 people worldwide. Or, twice the population of the United States. Most of these people live in isolated rural areas and spend hours every day walking to collect water for their family. Not only does walking for water keep kids out of school or take up time that parents could be using to earn money, but the water often carries diseases that can make everyone sick.

$15,000 funds one well and impacts an entire community.  Austad's Golf has committed to helping Amy raise enough funds for at least one well by the end of 2019.  Please donate to this incredible campaign and help bring clean water to Zambia!

DONATION MATCH!  Austad's Golf will match every donation made to Amy Olson's well drive dollar for dollar.  You give $5, we give $5, you give $100, we give $100.

Golf Fore Africa Health

UN General Assembly recognized access to water and sanitation as a basic human right in 2010.

Without clean water rural communities drink and bathe in water riddled with bacteria and parasites that can spread water-borne illnesses.

Golf Fore Africa Women

Women and girls spend up to 6 hours every day collecting water.

Access to clean, secure water sources brings opportunity to rural communities.

Golf Fore Africa Education

Clean water helps keep kids in school, especially girls.

Less time collecting water means more time in class. Clean water and proper toilets at school means teenage girls don’t have to stay home for a week out of every month.

Golf Fore Africa was founded in 2007 by LPGA Hall of Fame Golfer Betsy King following
a 2006 trip with World Vision to Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania and Zambia. After witnessing
the terrible plight of poverty and HIV/AIDS, and its devastating effects on the children of
Africa, she came home with a passion to make a difference in these children’s lives and
a vision to do so using her gifts and experience in golf.

Amy Olson

Amy Olson is an Oxbow, North Dakota native and LPGA Pro since 2013.  Before turning pro, Amy played golf for NDSU and won an NCAA record 20 events and has found success both on and off the golf course.  She is passionate about giving back and has travelled with Betsy King and Golf Fore Africa to Zambia, where she has already raised funds to build three wells.  Dave Austad and several members of the Austad's Golf team were fortunate to connect with Amy several years ago at an LPGA event and we are excited to help her continue the incredible work of bringing clean water to Zambia.
