Catch up on all the latest news and gossip in the world of golf with Austad's Monday Morning Caddy.  We dig into Lydia Ko's big win at the Evian, the U.S.'s fall at the Walker Cup and more.

Ko Dominates Evian Championship – In case you were busy watching football yesterday, you might have missed an awesome performance at the LPGA Evian Championship from Lydia Ko.  Ko was two off the lead going into Sunday’s championship round and shot a sizzling 8 under to take her first major.  With this victory, Lydia Ko has become the youngest major winner in LPGA history and at the salty age of 18 and 13 worldwide championships under her belt, Ko has easily cemented herself as one of golf’s rising stars.  We can’t wait to see what the future holds for this promising young star.

U.S. Falls at the Walker Cup – One of golf’s biggest amateur events wrapped up this weekend with the Irish and Brits giving the American’s a good old-fashioned trouncing.  With the final score at 16.5 to 9.5 and the Europeans needing only 3.5 points from the 10 singles matches on Sunday afternoon, there was very little drama.  One bright spot was the young golfer from Ireland, Paul Dunne, who you’ll probably remember as the 54-hole co-leader at the 2015 U.S. Open.  Dunne officially turned pro after the Walker Cup wrapped up, so we’ll be seeing a lot more of him on the PGA Tour.

FedEx Cup Fever! – Have you been following the FedEx Cup?  Have you seen this leaderboard?  I don’t think we’ve been so excited about this multi-week tourney since it launched back in 2007.  Here’s the leaderboard going into the BMW Classic:

1. Jason Day
2. Jordan Spieth
3. Rickie Fowler
4. Henrik Stenson
5. Bubba Watson

I don’t think you could design a better leaderboard if you tried.  With perennial good guy Zach Johnson, resident bad boy Dustin Johnson and young gun Patrick Reed rounding out the top 10, it should be a very interesting tournament.
