The G440 fairway family (MAX, LST, SFT) advances PING’s reputation as a Tour-preferred model of choice through a re-designed face structure and low CG system. The face is taller for more confidence off the tee while maintaining a CG location that delivers high- launching performance off the ground. The face thickness is optimized in the heel and toe regions for more consistent performance on on-center strikes.

Each model is designed to fit a specific player type with a head profile engineered to provide launch conditions that best match a player’s swing. The MAX model (which fits most golfers) is available in five lofts (including a new 4-wood) to provide more gapping solutions. The multi-material LST (Low Spin) design appeals to players with faster swing speeds, providing high launch and lower spin. Golfers in need of slice-correction technology fit best in the SFT (Straight Flight) option, which features a draw-inducing CG location.

 

Technology:

  • Free-Hosel Technology - By removing 11.5 grams from the hosel, screw, and heel section of the MAX models, mass savings help create a 4% taller face while maintaining CG height. A taller face increases player confidence off the tee, and a low CG preserves high launch off the turf. 

     

  • Taller Face Profile - The MAX face is 4% taller than its predecessor for more confidence off the tee while maintaining a low CG position for high-launching performance off the ground.

     

  • Contoured Sole Design - Slimming down the back-weight profile ensures that the club sits more flush to the ground and the face angle remains consistent – no matter the loft or lie setting – allowing golfers to benefit from the multiple loft and lie options provided by the adjustable hosel.

     

  • CarbonFly Wrap Crown - Common to all three models (MAX, LST, SFT), the CarbonFly Wrap crown saves weight, which is re-allocated to help lower the CG, ensure forgiveness and contribute to a more muted, pleasing sound at impact.

     

  • Trajectory Tuning 2.0 Adjustable Hosel - The lightweight, 8-position hosel enables adjustments for loft (±1.5°) and lie (up to 3° flatter than std.) to further dial in ball flight for the best results.

     

  • Gapping Solutions - Five lofts in the MAX (3, 4, 5, 7 & 9 woods), three in SFT (3, 5, 7) and two in LST (3, 5) ensure multiple options to properly gap a set.

     

  • Multi-Material LST (Low Spin) Model - A new HST (High-Strength Titanium) face combines with a lightweight Ti811 body, 85g tungsten sole plate and CarbonFly Wrap crown to optimize mass distribution. This positions the CG low/back for faster ball speed with reduced spin for more distance. Available in 3 and 5 woods.

Orders completed by 12PM CST (1PM EST) ship out same day! All other orders will be processed and fulfilled within one business day.  Orders must be placed by 12pm (CST) Monday-Friday in order to be eligible for that day's “Overnight” or “2-Day Air” shipments. 

Estimated Time To Deliver

Austad's Golf is centrally located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  Most items ship directly from our warehouse there and average 3-5 business days for ground delivery.  See the map below for estimated ground shipping delivery times for your area.


“Overnight” shipments will arrive the next business day (excluding weekends and holidays) after departing Austad's Golf. “2-Day Air” shipments arrive in two business days after departing Austad's Golf. On-time delivery for both methods is guaranteed by our preferred carriers.Shipping delays may occur during busy Holidays or in the spring -- we will do our best to accommodate last minute and expedited orders placed during these times. 

Hawaii and Alaska Shipments

UPS Next Day and 2-Day Air are available for customers looking to have products shipped to Hawaii or Alaska. 

International & Canadian Orders

Unfortunately at this time, Austad's Golf only ships to locations within the United States.

Free Shipping Restrictions

Due to manufacturer restrictions, we cannot offer free shipping on any order with PING products.  Some oversize items such as cart bags, package sets and travel covers are not eligible for free shipping.

Sales Tax Details

Austad's Golf has physical locations and charges sales tax on orders shipping to the following states: Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota.  Orders shipping to states other than the five listed will not be charged sales tax.
